The right flooring for any room depends on four things: moisture exposure, foot traffic, subfloor type, and budget. Getting any one of these wrong leads to a floor that underperforms or fails early.
Flooring for Wet and Moisture-Prone Areas
Basements, kitchens, mudrooms, bathrooms, and any space with moisture exposure need 100% waterproof flooring. Vinyl flooring - both LVP and LVT - is the correct specification for these spaces.
