Why Pravada European White Flooring Stands Out

Engineered hardwood gets dismissed as the budget option, which misses the point: it is real wood built to go where a solid plank fails.

In simple terms: Pravada Floors European White is engineered hardwood, which means a real white oak surface over a cross-layered core. You get the look of solid wood with the stability to put it over concrete or in a basement. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it in-house.

Here is what matters on this one. It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. On the Janka scale White Oak runs about 1360, about as hard as oak, fine for daily household use. Its wear layer is a thick 4mm of real wood, enough to sand and refinish more than once, just like a solid floor. Underneath the wood is a multi-ply core, and that is the whole point: it keeps the floor flat where a solid board would react to the seasons. Widths run from 7 1/2 to 9 1/2 inches, so you can keep it classic or go wide-plank and modern.

Decision line: with a thick wear layer, Pravada European White behaves like solid hardwood you can refinish, but goes in basements and over radiant heat where solid cannot. It is the choice when you want one floor to do both.

Engineered hardwood gives you options solid wood does not: glue-down over concrete, floating, or nail-down over plywood. Our own crew installs Pravada Floors European White across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted, and we flatten and moisture-test the subfloor first, finish the trim, and handle matching stairs. See our hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Pravada European White moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie store, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Pravada Floors European White?
Pravada Floors European White is engineered hardwood, a layer of real white oak bonded to a stable multi-ply core. It looks and sands like solid wood but stays flat over concrete, in basements, and through Ontario's humidity. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Can Pravada European White be sanded and refinished?
Yes. Pravada European White has a 4mm real-wood wear layer, thick enough to sand and refinish more than once over its life, much like a solid floor.
How hard is Pravada European White, and will it dent?
The white oak surface sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, about the red oak benchmark, so it handles everyday household traffic. No wood floor is dent-proof, but the wear layer and finish do most of the work.
Where can I see Pravada European White near me?
You can see Pravada Floors European White at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Grain and finish read differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
