Appalachian Flooring Verita Engineered Hardwood

Appalachian Flooring Verita is engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.

In simple terms: Appalachian Flooring Verita is a real-wood floor, a layer of genuine hard maple bonded to a stable engineered core. It looks and feels like solid hardwood, but the core lets it handle concrete, basements, and humidity that would move a solid plank. We carry it and our own crew installs it.

The wood and the build: It comes in Hard Maple, Hickory, Red Oak, and White Oak. Underneath the wood is a dimensionally stable engineered core, and that is the whole point: it keeps the floor flat where a solid board would react to the seasons. Widths run from 4 to 7 inches, so you can keep it classic or go wide-plank and modern. The surface is smooth, a clean and contemporary finish. It is a character grade, with natural colour variation and knots. It carries a 35-year warranty.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. Engineered board can be glued over a slab, floated, or nailed down, so we assess the subfloor, test for moisture, and pick the right method. Browse our projects or the hardwood installation page.

Decision line: match species to traffic and check the wear layer, the thicker it is, the more times the floor can be refinished.

Wood reads differently across a full floor than in a sample chip, so it is worth seeing Appalachian Verita under room light at either showroom. Contact us to check availability, or browse the full hardwood flooring range. For the full Appalachian Flooring range, see our Appalachian Flooring page.
