Anderson Tuftex Luxe Feel II Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Luxe Feel II is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.
Here is what matters with this one. It is a textured cut pile, built from twisted yarns that refuse to show every footprint and track mark. That forgiving surface is why it is the default choice for everyday rooms rather than for-show spaces. The fiber is nylon, the most resilient carpet fiber there is: it springs back from foot traffic instead of matting down, takes cleaning well, and holds up on stairs and in busy rooms better than any other fiber. The standout here is the backing: a LifeGuard waterproof backing that stops spills from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so a knocked-over drink or a pet accident stays on the surface where you can clean it. If you have kids or pets, this is the feature to look for. Its 70 oz per square yard face weight is on the dense, substantial end, so it feels thick and full underfoot. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Armory, Atlantic, Bismuth, Blackout, Bonsai, and Classic Gray.
Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.
Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost. Our in-house team sets the tack strips, lays the carpet underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams the seams flat. We handle stairs and transitions too. See our projects for examples.
Decision line: Luxe Feel II is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.
Carpet colour and texture read very differently across a full room than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Luxe Feel II in person at either showroom.
