Ciot Tiles Porcelain - Floor and Wall Collections

Choosing tile for a Toronto condo or a Barrie home usually comes down to one question: will it hold up where you are putting it, and will it still look right in ten years? Ciot is one of the tile and natural stone lines we carry at Squarefoot Flooring for exactly that reason, and you can see it in person at either showroom near you.

In simple terms: Ciot is a Canadian importer and distributor of porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, and natural stone. The range covers floor and wall tile, decorative mosaics, and natural stone such as marble, quartzite, limestone, travertine, and onyx, so it works for anything from a shower wall to a full main-floor install.

Porcelain and Ceramic Tile

Most of the Ciot range is porcelain, with ceramic options for walls. Porcelain is the denser of the two and absorbs very little water, which is why it is the safer pick for floors, entryways, and wet areas. Ceramic is lighter and easier to cut, which makes it a common choice for wall tile and backsplashes. The decision is simple: if it goes on the floor or gets wet, lean porcelain; if it is a dry wall surface, ceramic is fine.

Natural Stone

Ciot built its name on natural stone, including marble, quartzite, limestone, travertine, and onyx. Stone gives you a surface where no two pieces are identical, which is the look many people are after. It also asks for more care than porcelain, since most natural stone needs sealing and gentler cleaning. If you want the stone look with less upkeep, a porcelain tile that mimics marble or stone is worth comparing before you decide.

Mosaics

Ciot carries a wide range of mosaics for walls and floors, including custom work through Ciot Studio. Mosaics are where a bathroom, shower niche, or backsplash gets its detail, and they pair well with a larger-format porcelain on the surrounding surfaces.

Built for Ontario Rooms

A few local realities shape the right choice. In a Toronto condo, porcelain over a radiant heat membrane is a common bathroom setup, and tile handles it well. In a Barrie home with seasonal humidity swings, the low water absorption of porcelain is an advantage in basements and entryways. For showers and wet areas, the right setting materials and grout matter as much as the tile itself, which is something our team sorts out with you at the showroom.

See It and Install It

Tile is hard to judge from a screen, so the most useful step is to see Ciot in person against your other samples. You can do that at our Mississauga showroom at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, or our Barrie showroom at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Our own in-house crew handles tile installation for both residential and commercial projects across Toronto, Mississauga, and Barrie, so the same company that helps you choose the tile also sets it. You can see real installed work on our projects page.

If you are weighing Ciot against other tile lines, it is worth comparing Olympia Tile, Daltile, and Ceratec, which we also carry. Contact us if you want help narrowing it down or checking availability on a specific Ciot line.
