Why Floordi Stands Out

What Floordi is

Floordi is a Canadian brand built around waterproof luxury vinyl, sold under its Avolis collection, with a matching set of wall panels and finishing parts so a whole room can come from one line. The Avolis vinyl splits into two formats: Avorox rigid-core planks that click together as a floating floor, and Avoflex glue-down planks that bond to the subfloor. Both are fully waterproof, which puts them in the basements, kitchens, laundries, and entries where hardwood and laminate cannot go.

Avolis Avorox rigid-core vinyl plank

Avorox is Floordi's rigid-core luxury vinyl plank, and it comes in three options. Ease is a 6.5 mm plank in a roughly 7 inch width (7-3/16 inch) and a 48 inch length, the practical all-round choice for most rooms. Essential and Grand step up to 8 mm in a wider 9 inch plank at 60 inches long, for a more substantial feel underfoot and a broader board that reads as real wood, with Grand as the premium visual of the three. All three Avorox planks carry a 20 mil wear layer, which sits at the heavy-duty end of residential vinyl and handles high-traffic homes and light commercial use. The rigid core stays flat across temperature swings, bridges minor subfloor imperfections, and installs as a floating click floor over most existing hard surfaces.

Avolis Avoflex glue-down LVT

Avoflex 5.0 is the glue-down side of the Avolis range, a 5 mm plank in a 9 inch by 60 inch size with an even thicker 22 mil wear layer. Unlike the click planks, a glue-down floor bonds fully to the subfloor, which gives a thin, stable surface with no movement or hollow sound, the reason glue-down vinyl is favoured for commercial spaces and heavy traffic. It needs a flat, sound subfloor or a well-prepared concrete slab because it follows the surface beneath it. Over the right base, Avoflex is the choice for an office, a rental, or a busy space where a permanent, low-profile floor is the goal.

WALLDI acoustic wood wall panels

WALLDI is Floordi's acoustic slat wood wall panel, a 21 mm panel that adds a warm wood-slat feature wall while helping to soften sound in a room. It comes in a 2 foot by 2 foot panel and a tall 2 foot by 9 foot panel, so it suits everything from a feature strip behind a bed or television to a full floor-to-ceiling wall. Because it shares the Floordi colour range, a WALLDI wall can be coordinated with the Avolis floor below it for a consistent look.

Matching stair parts, trims, and acoustic underlay

A real strength of the Floordi range is that the finishing parts match the floor. Avorox stair noses, including a flush profile and custom noses sized to the 6.5 and 8 mm planks, along with Avorox reducers and T-mouldings, let a staircase and the room-to-room transitions finish in the same floor rather than a mismatched substitute. Floordi also offers F-Shield acoustic underlay, a 3 mm IXPE underlay available with a golden or aluminum film, which matters in a condo or a two-storey home where sound between floors is a concern.

How to choose and install

Choosing comes down to how the room is used. For most homes, the Avorox click planks are the easy answer: Ease in 6.5 mm for general rooms, or the 8 mm Essential and Grand where you want a wider, more substantial plank in a main living space. Choose Avoflex glue-down over a flat base for a commercial floor, an office, or a rental where a thin, permanent surface is the goal, and add WALLDI panels where you want a wood feature wall to match. Bring your room measurements or a floor plan to either store and our team will match the right Floordi collection and wear layer to each space, and our in-house crews can install the floor, the stairs, the transitions, and the wall panels.

In simple terms: Floordi is waterproof vinyl plus matching wall panels. Avolis Avorox rigid click planks for most rooms (Ease 6.5 mm, or wider 8 mm Essential and Grand), all with a tough 20 mil wear layer; Avoflex 5.0 glue-down for commercial floors and rentals over a flat base; and WALLDI acoustic wood panels for a feature wall. Matching stair parts and trims finish it in one look.

Common Questions About Floordi Flooring

Quick answers about Floordi, materials, and shopping at Squarefoot Flooring.

What does Floordi offer?
Floordi makes waterproof luxury vinyl under its Avolis collection, in two formats: Avorox rigid-core click planks (Ease at 6.5 mm, and Essential and Grand at 8 mm, all with a 20 mil wear layer) and Avoflex 5.0 glue-down LVT (5 mm, 22 mil wear layer). It also offers WALLDI acoustic wood wall panels and matching stair noses, reducers, T-mouldings, and acoustic underlay.
What is the difference between Avorox Ease, Essential, and Grand?
Ease is a 6.5 mm plank in a roughly 7 inch width, the all-round choice for most rooms. Essential and Grand step up to 8 mm in a wider 9 inch plank for a more substantial feel, with Grand as the premium visual. All three are rigid-core Avorox click planks with a 20 mil wear layer and are fully waterproof.
What does the 20 mil wear layer on Avorox mean?
The wear layer is the clear top coat that takes the day-to-day abrasion. At 20 mil, the Avorox planks sit at the heavy-duty end of residential vinyl, which suits high-traffic homes and light commercial use; a thicker wear layer resists scratches and scuffs for longer. The glue-down Avoflex 5.0 goes further still, with a 22 mil wear layer.
When should I choose Avoflex glue-down over the Avorox click planks?
Choose Avoflex 5.0 glue-down when you have a flat, sound subfloor or concrete slab and want a thin, permanent, low-profile floor for a commercial space, an office, or a rental. A glue-down floor bonds fully to the subfloor with no movement or hollow sound. For most homes and slightly uneven subfloors, the rigid-core Avorox click plank is easier and more forgiving.
What are WALLDI panels?
WALLDI is Floordi's acoustic slat wood wall panel, a 21 mm panel that creates a wood-slat feature wall while helping soften sound in a room. It comes in a 2 foot by 2 foot panel and a tall 2 foot by 9 foot panel, and it shares the Floordi colour range so it can be coordinated with the Avolis floor below it.
Can you install Floordi flooring for me?
Yes. Our own in-house crews install the full Floordi range, including the Avorox click planks, the Avoflex glue-down vinyl, matching stair noses and trims, acoustic underlay, and WALLDI wall panels, for homes and commercial spaces across Mississauga, Barrie, and the surrounding areas. Bring your room measurements or a floor plan to either store and we will match the right collection and quote supply and install.
