The detail behind that: This is a rigid-core vinyl plank, engineered to stay flat and stable over uneven subfloors and through temperature swings, and it floats into place without glue. It has a 12 mil wear layer, enough for normal household traffic in bedrooms, living rooms, and quieter spaces. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. It carries an IIC rating around 26 and an STC around 72 plus an attached acoustic pad, so it clears the sound-transfer rules most GTA condo boards set, a common sticking point in high-rises. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Painted micro-bevelled edges frame each plank and hide the seams.
