  • Wood adhesives: Mapei Ultrabond ECO urethane, silane and hybrid polymer adhesives, some with moisture control, and Roberts engineered wood and tongue and groove adhesives.
  • Vinyl adhesives: pressure-sensitive and multipurpose adhesives for vinyl plank, LVT, sheet vinyl and rubber, from Mapei, Roberts and Tec.

Use the approved adhesive

Most flooring manufacturers list the adhesives and trowel sizes they approve. Using another can void the floor warranty, so check the floor's installation guide before buying.

Concrete and moisture

Concrete slabs give off moisture. Test the slab and choose an adhesive rated for the result, or one with built-in moisture control where the data sheet allows it.

Can one adhesive be used for every floor?
No. Wood, vinyl, carpet, VCT and cove base each need their own adhesive, and the floor manufacturer usually names the approved ones.
Which flooring adhesive brands do you carry?
Mapei, Roberts and Tec for flooring, plus Fusion 724 contact glue.
What adhesive is used for glue-down hardwood?
A urethane or silane based wood adhesive such as Mapei Ultrabond ECO 975, 983 or 995. See our wood adhesives.
What adhesive is used for vinyl plank?
An adhesive approved for plank, such as Mapei ECO 373, Mapei ECO 360 or Tec Rollfast. See our vinyl adhesives.
How do I clean up wet urethane adhesive?
With Mapei Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner on prefinished wood floors, trowels and tools, before the adhesive cures.
