Boen Flooring Engineered Hardwood

Boen Flooring is engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, with a 3.5mm wear layer you can refinish. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

There is a lot of marketing noise around engineered hardwood, but it comes down to two things that matter: how thick the real-wood layer is, and how stable the core is.

In simple terms: Boen Flooring pairs a real hardwood top layer with an engineered core built for stability. It gives you a genuine wood floor that can go where solid planks cannot, and we carry and install it ourselves.

Decision line: Boen is the pick when you want real, refinishable wood that can still handle a slab, a basement, or radiant heat.

The detail behind that: Its wear layer is a thick 3.5mm of real wood, enough to sand and refinish more than once, just like a solid floor. The core is the quiet workhorse here. A dimensionally stable engineered core resists the expansion and contraction that makes solid wood cup, gap, or lift. Planks run 5.4375 inches wide. A low-sheen matte finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. It is made in Europe. It carries a 25-year warranty. Colours in the range include Oak Engineered Horizon, Oak Engineered Alamo, Oak Engineered White, Oak Engineered Warm Cotton, and Oak Engineered Mild Grey.

Our installers handle Boen Flooring from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Boen moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide.
