About the Brand
ABL Ceramica is a Toronto porcelain tile brand with more than fifteen years in the trade, and it does one thing with real focus: large-format, marble-look porcelain. Most of the range is built at 24 by 48 inches, the slab-like scale that makes a marble floor read as stone rather than a grid of tiles, in matte and glossy finishes across marble, onyx and concrete looks. The flagship Opulence collection alone spans 12x24, 24x24 and 24x48, enough to floor and wall a whole room in one coherent look, while collections like the vein-matched Continuum and the full-body Pietra solve specific problems: a continuous, slab-like feature wall, or a high-traffic floor where chips and wear never show.
Porcelain is why any of this works. It carries the veining and depth of real marble, but is fired dense and near-waterproof, so it does not stain, etch or need the sealing that natural marble demands in a kitchen or bathroom. You get the look, and a floor that survives the household.
Squarefoot Flooring stocks ABL Ceramica at both showrooms and installs it with our own crews, so you can see the tile under real light, against your own finishes, before you commit. Mississauga: 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227. Barrie: 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272.

ABL Ceramica is a Toronto-based porcelain tile company built around one focused idea: authentic, marble-inspired porcelain, designs that capture the veining and character of natural stone in a material that outperforms it. The company brings more than fifteen years of experience in tile, and its collections are built largely in a 24 by 48 inch large format, the scale that makes a marble floor read like real stone rather than tile.
Unlike a broad catalogue that spreads across every material, ABL does one thing deliberately: floor and wall porcelain, largely marble, stone and onyx visuals, made to be lived on. The range runs from the flagship Opulence collection through vein-matched marble looks like Continuum and Eterna, textured and full-body stone lines, and brighter polished surfaces. That focus tells you what the brand is for and where it belongs.
In simple terms: ABL Ceramica is large-format, marble-look porcelain floor and wall tile. You get the appearance of marble and natural stone without the sealing, staining and upkeep the real stone demands. Match the finish to the room and porcelain does the rest.
Real marble is genuinely lovely and genuinely demanding. It is porous, so it needs sealing and re-sealing; it etches when anything acidic touches it, a lemon, a splash of wine, some cleaners; it stains; and it is soft enough to scratch underfoot. In a busy kitchen or a family bathroom, natural marble is a maintenance commitment most people underestimate.
Porcelain that imitates marble sidesteps all of it. It is fired dense and absorbs almost no water, so it does not stain or etch, needs no sealing, and stands up to traffic, pets and children. The veining and movement are pressed into the tile with enough depth and variation that, laid well, it reads as stone from standing height. You get the look you wanted and a floor that survives the life you actually live.
Decision: if you love the look of marble but the room is a kitchen, a bathroom, an entry or any busy space, marble-look porcelain like ABL is the sensible answer. Save real marble for a low-traffic feature where you are willing to maintain it.
ABL's range is porcelain throughout, in a 24 by 48 inch large format across most collections, split between marble and stone visuals and brighter or textured surfaces.
We confirm the exact sizes and finishes of each collection off the current product in the showroom, since ABL updates and expands the range, but the core of the line is that convincing 24x48 large format.
Decision: for a classic marble look with the sizes to cover a whole space, start with Opulence. For a continuous, slab-like feature wall or floor, look at the vein-matched Continuum. For a high-traffic or commercial floor, ask about the full-body Pietra, where wear and chips do not show. Browse the wider porcelain floor and wall category to compare.
One thing worth confirming in the showroom is the surface finish. A glossy porcelain like Lustrous gives the bright, reflective look people associate with polished marble, and it is well suited to walls and dry floors; for a bathroom or shower floor you step onto wet, a matte finish such as Brillium or the matte Opulence grips better and is the safer choice. We match the finish to where the tile is going.
Decision: glossy for walls, feature areas and dry floors where you want the marble shine; matte for a bathroom or shower floor where grip underfoot matters.
Marble-look porcelain lives or dies on scale, because marble in nature comes in large slabs, not small tiles. ABL builds most of its range at 24 by 48 inches for exactly this reason: a larger tile shows more of the veining pattern with fewer grout lines to break it up, so the floor reads as stone rather than as a grid of tiles.
Two details make or break the effect. First, rectified edges, precisely cut for a tight, thin grout line, because a wide, uneven grout line is the thing that most gives a tiled floor away as tile. Second, vein-matching on collections like Continuum, where the pattern is designed to flow tile to tile. Both are worth asking about for your chosen collection, and both reward an installer who plans the layout.
Decision: for the most convincing marble effect, use the large 24x48 format with a tight grout line, and consider a vein-matched collection for a feature wall or a continuous open floor.
Any store can sell you a box of tile. The question worth asking is who sets it, because a marble-look porcelain is only as convincing as its install. Get it wrong and the illusion breaks: a lippage edge you feel underfoot, a grout line that wanders, a random layout that repeats the same veining side by side instead of varying it the way natural stone never repeats. Large-format 24x48 tile in particular rewards a crew that plans the layout, dry-lays to vary or match the veining, keeps the grout tight, and holds the whole floor dead flat, because a big tile shows lippage far more than a small one.
Squarefoot Flooring runs its own installation crews, residential and commercial. Before the first tile goes down, the crew checks the substrate is flat enough for the large format, confirms the right setting material and waterproofing for a wet area, and plans the layout so the veining works and the cut tiles land where you will not stare at them. For showers and wet rooms that means the correct tile setting materials and membranes, not whatever is nearest on the shelf.
We supply and install ABL Ceramica from our Mississauga showroom across Toronto, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Port Credit, Erin Mills, Streetsville, Meadowvale and Cooksville, and from our Barrie showroom across Barrie, Innisfil, Angus, Orillia, Collingwood, Midland and Simcoe County.
See tile installation, and if the floor has heat underneath it, look at in-floor heating membrane systems before you finalize the order.
ABL's collections vary in size, finish and rectified-edge options, and we work from current stock and the actual tile in front of us, not an archived listing. We confirm the size, finish and rating printed on the box. If you are matching an existing ABL tile, bring a spare piece or a photo of the box label, since two runs of the same tile can differ slightly in shade and veining.
Take a full tile home, not a corner chip. Set it on the actual floor or wall, under the light that room gets, at the hour you are actually in it. A marble-look porcelain that reads bright white under showroom lighting can read grey or warm against a north-facing bathroom window, and a full 24x48 tile shows how the veining repeats across a wall in a way a small sample never will.
ABL Ceramica porcelain tile is on display at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, which are where you see it, choose it and book the install. Bring your room measurements, a note of whether the area is wet or dry, and a photo of the space in daylight.
