Impressive Floors Paramount Engineered Hardwood
Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.
In simple terms: Impressive Floors Paramount is genuine white oak on top of a stable engineered base. That is what lets real wood go into rooms solid flooring cannot, while still sanding and finishing like the real thing. We carry it and install it with our own team.
Decision line: Paramount is the practical middle ground, real wood with the stability to go over concrete, into basements, and across the seasons.
The detail behind that: It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. White Oak sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, right at the oak benchmark for everyday durability. The core is the quiet workhorse here. A multi-ply core resists the expansion and contraction that makes solid wood cup, gap, or lift. Planks run 5 inches wide. It carries a 30-year residential Finish, 5-year Light commercial, Lifetime Structure warranty.
Engineered hardwood gives you options solid wood does not: glue-down over concrete, floating, or nail-down over plywood. Our own crew installs Impressive Floors Paramount across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted, and we flatten and moisture-test the subfloor first, finish the trim, and handle matching stairs. See our hardwood installation page.
We keep Paramount at both showrooms, where the grain, sheen, and colour read properly. Contact us about availability, or start from our Toronto and Barrie hardwood pages.
