Impressive Floors Huron Engineered Hardwood

Impressive Floors Huron is white oak engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

The reason engineered hardwood exists is simple. Concrete slabs, basements, and radiant heat will destroy a solid floor, and engineered was built to handle all three.

In simple terms: Impressive Floors Huron is engineered hardwood, which means a real white oak surface over a cross-layered core. You get the look of solid wood with the stability to put it over concrete or in a basement. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it in-house.

Here is what matters on this one. It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. White Oak sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, right at the oak benchmark for everyday durability. What you are paying for is stability. A multi-ply core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. Planks run 8 1/2 inches wide, a wide-plank look that shows off the grain. It carries a 30-year residential Finish, 5-year Light commercial, Lifetime Structure warranty.

Decision line: Huron is the practical middle ground, real wood with the stability to go over concrete, into basements, and across the seasons.

Our installers handle Impressive Floors Huron from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Huron moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide.
