In simple terms: Impressive Floors Contempa is real white oak over a multi-ply core. The surface is the same wood you would get in a solid floor; the core is what keeps it flat over a slab, in a basement, or through the seasons. We stock it and our crew installs it.

The wood and the build: It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. White Oak sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, right at the oak benchmark for everyday durability. Stability comes from the build: a cross-layered engineered core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. It carries a 30-year residential Finish, 5-year Light commercial, Lifetime Structure warranty.
