Vinyl has quietly become the floor of choice for kitchens, basements, and busy households, and for one simple reason: water does not bother it.

In simple terms: Impressive Floors gives you the look of real wood in a waterproof, hard-wearing vinyl floor. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with our own team.

This is an SPC floor, stone polymer composite, which means a dense rigid core that stays dead flat and dimensionally stable. It will not expand, contract, or telegraph small subfloor flaws the way flexible vinyl can, and it floats into place over most existing surfaces. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. It carries an IIC rating around 72 and an STC around 73 plus an attached acoustic pad, so it clears the sound-transfer rules most GTA condo boards set, a common sticking point in high-rises. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality. Colours in the range include Hills, Coal, Onyx, Ginger, and Sandal.
