Purelux Floors Oak Engineered Hardwood

Purelux Floors Oak is oak engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, with a 3mm wear layer you can refinish. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie stores, or browse online.

Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.

In simple terms: Purelux Floors Oak pairs a real oak top layer with an engineered core built for stability. It gives you a genuine wood floor that can go where solid planks cannot, and we carry and install it ourselves.

The wood and the build: It is real oak, a warm, familiar grain that takes stain well and suits almost any room. It carries a 3mm wear layer, real sawn wood you can refinish like solid hardwood at least once over its life. What you are paying for is stability. A multi-ply core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. Widths run from 6 to 7 1/2 inches, so you can keep it classic or go wide-plank and modern. The surface is wire-brushed, which lifts the grain for texture and quietly hides everyday wear. It is a character grade, with natural colour variation and knots. It carries a 35-year residential / 8-year light commercial warranty.

Engineered hardwood gives you options solid wood does not: glue-down over concrete, floating, or nail-down over plywood. Our own crew installs Purelux Floors Oak across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted, and we flatten and moisture-test the subfloor first, finish the trim, and handle matching stairs. See our hardwood installation page.

Decision line: Purelux Oak is the pick when you want real, refinishable wood that can still handle a slab, a basement, or radiant heat.

Wood reads differently across a full floor than in a sample chip, so it is worth seeing Purelux Oak under room light at either store. Contact us to check availability, or browse the full hardwood flooring range. See more Purelux Floors options on our Purelux Floors page.
