In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Buckingham is genuine white oak on top of a stable engineered base. That is what lets real wood go into rooms solid flooring cannot, while still sanding and finishing like the real thing. We carry it and install it with our own team.

Decision line: Buckingham is the pick when you want real, refinishable wood that can still handle a slab, a basement, or radiant heat.

The detail behind that: It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. On the Janka scale White Oak runs about 1360, about as hard as oak, fine for daily household use. It carries a 3mm wear layer, real sawn wood you can refinish like solid hardwood at least once over its life. What you are paying for is stability. A dimensionally stable engineered core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. The surface is wire-brushed, which lifts the grain for texture and quietly hides everyday wear. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County.
