In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Always Natural is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.

The style and the build: This is a loop pile, built from uncut yarn loops that resist crushing and hide soil, a durable pick for high-traffic areas and stairs. If you have pets that claw, note that loops can snag, so a cut pile may suit better. The yarn is nylon, the workhorse of carpet fiber. It resists crushing, bounces back after furniture and feet, and cleans up well, so it keeps its look in the rooms that get used hardest. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. At 36 oz per square yard, it is a lighter-weight carpet suited to bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms. It comes on standard 12-foot-wide rolls, so a typical room needs only one or two planned seams. It is made in the USA. Colours in the range include Barrel, Basket, Blue Fern, Blustery, Boutique, and Cork.

Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost.
