Weiss Flooring American Oak Engineered Hardwood
The reason engineered hardwood exists is simple. Concrete slabs, basements, and radiant heat will destroy a solid floor, and engineered was built to handle all three.
In simple terms: Weiss Flooring American Oak is real oak over a multi-ply core. The surface is the same wood you would get in a solid floor; the core is what keeps it flat over a slab, in a basement, or through the seasons. We stock it and our crew installs it.
Decision line: Weiss American Oak is the practical middle ground, real wood with the stability to go over concrete, into basements, and across the seasons.
The detail behind that: It is real oak, a warm, familiar grain that takes stain well and suits almost any room. The real advantage is underneath: a dimensionally stable engineered core that stays flat through Ontario's dry winters and humid summers, where a solid plank would cup or gap. Planks run 6 1/2 inches wide, a wide-plank look that shows off the grain. The surface is wire-brushed, which lifts the grain for texture and quietly hides everyday wear. It carries a 30-year residential warranty. Colours in the range include Amber, Caramel, Mocha, Vanilla, and Pebble.
We install Weiss Flooring American Oak with our own team, not subcontractors, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. The method depends on the subfloor, glued to concrete, floated, or nailed to plywood, and a flat, dry base matters more than anything. It is worth seeing Weiss American Oak in person before deciding. Visit either showroom, contact us to confirm current stock, and see more in the engineered hardwood range.
