Simba Flooring Sepele Engineered Hardwood

Simba Flooring Sepele is sapele engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.

In simple terms: Simba Flooring Sepele is engineered hardwood, which means a real sapele surface over a cross-layered core. You get the look of solid wood with the stability to put it over concrete or in a basement. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it in-house.

Here is what matters on this one. It is real sapele, a reddish-brown tone with a fine ribbon figure. On the Janka scale Sapele runs about 1410, harder than oak and a strong choice for high-traffic rooms. The wear layer is 2mm of real wood, enough for one careful refinish down the road. Stability comes from the build: a dimensionally stable engineered core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. Planks run 6 1/2 inches wide, a wide-plank look that shows off the grain. It carries a 25-year warranty. Colours in the range include Mahogany.

Decision line: choose Simba Sepele when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.

Engineered hardwood gives you options solid wood does not: glue-down over concrete, floating, or nail-down over plywood. Our own crew installs Simba Flooring Sepele across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted, and we flatten and moisture-test the subfloor first, finish the trim, and handle matching stairs. See our hardwood installation page.

We keep Simba Sepele at both showrooms, where the grain, sheen, and colour read properly. Contact us about availability, or start from our Toronto and Barrie hardwood pages.
