Midgley West Pietra Lavica Arenal Tile 12"x24" - Lappato

Pietra Lavica Arenal, 12" x 24", is the size most bathroom and kitchen floors settle on. Big enough that you are not grouting all weekend, small enough to cut cleanly around a vanity. The lappato finish is part polished, part matte, which gives you some shine without the full slip of a polish. Porcelain is fired dense enough that water is not an issue, indoors or in a sheltered spot outside. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. A box holds 11.63 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Come and see it in Mississauga or Barrie. Tile rarely looks the same in a store as it does on a phone screen.
