Midgley West Ghost Ivory Tile 24"x48" - Matte

The Ghost Ivory in 24" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. A matte surface stays reasonably grippy wet and will not throw glare across the room. The density is the point with porcelain: very little water gets in, which is what keeps it stable in a bathroom or a laundry. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 15.5 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 8 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
