GoodFellow Flooring Riverside Heights White Oak Engineered Hardwood

GoodFellow Flooring Riverside Heights White Oak is white oak engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, compatible with radiant heat. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.

In simple terms: GoodFellow Flooring Riverside Heights White Oak is engineered hardwood, which means a real white oak surface over a cross-layered core. You get the look of solid wood with the stability to put it over concrete or in a basement. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it in-house.

Decision line: choose Riverside Heights White Oak when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.

The detail behind that: It is real white oak, a cooler, more contemporary cast with a tighter grain than red oak, and a touch harder. White Oak sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, right at the oak benchmark for everyday durability. The wear layer is 2mm of real wood, enough for one careful refinish down the road. Underneath the wood is a cross-layered engineered core, and that is the whole point: it keeps the floor flat where a solid board would react to the seasons. That is why it can go over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. Planks run 4 3/4 inches wide. The surface is smooth, a clean and contemporary finish. It carries a 25-year residential, Lifetime structural warranty. Colours in the range include Earth, Riverside, Stone, and Walnut Brown.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. Engineered board can be glued over a slab, floated, or nailed down, so we assess the subfloor, test for moisture, and pick the right method. Browse our projects or the hardwood installation page.

We keep Riverside Heights White Oak at both showrooms, where the grain, sheen, and colour read properly. Since it works over radiant heat, it goes well with the in-floor heating membranes we carry.
