Fuzion Flooring Bistro Maple Engineered Hardwood

Fuzion Flooring Bistro Maple is maple engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, rated for below-grade rooms and radiant heat, with a 4mm wear layer you can refinish. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

There is a lot of marketing noise around engineered hardwood, but it comes down to two things that matter: how thick the real-wood layer is, and how stable the core is.

In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Bistro Maple is a real-wood floor, a layer of genuine maple bonded to a stable engineered core. It looks and feels like solid hardwood, but the core lets it handle concrete, basements, and humidity that would move a solid plank. We carry it and our own crew installs it.

Decision line: Bistro Maple is the pick when you want real, refinishable wood that can still handle a slab, a basement, or radiant heat.

The detail behind that: It is real maple, a fine, even grain that reads light and clean, at home in contemporary spaces. Maple sits around 1450 on the Janka hardness scale, well above the red oak benchmark, so it shrugs off busy traffic. Its dry-sawn wear layer is a thick 4mm of real wood, enough to sand and refinish more than once, just like a solid floor. Stability comes from the build: a multi-ply core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. Planks run 5 inches wide. A low-sheen finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood. It carries a 35-year residential and lifetime structural warranty.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. Engineered board can be glued over a slab, floated, or nailed down, so we assess the subfloor, test for moisture, and pick the right method. Browse our projects or the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Bistro Maple moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide. Because it is rated for radiant heat, it also pairs with the in-floor heating membranes we stock. See more Fuzion Flooring options on our Fuzion Flooring page.
