Anderson Tuftex Revival Walnut Engineered Hardwood

Anderson Tuftex Revival Walnut is walnut engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, rated for below-grade rooms and radiant heat, with a 4.5mm wear layer you can refinish. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

There is a lot of marketing noise around engineered hardwood, but it comes down to two things that matter: how thick the real-wood layer is, and how stable the core is.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Revival Walnut is genuine walnut on top of a stable engineered base. That is what lets real wood go into rooms solid flooring cannot, while still sanding and finishing like the real thing. We carry it and install it with our own team.

It is real walnut, a deep chocolate tone with a soft, formal character. Walnut sits around 1010 on the Janka hardness scale, a little softer than oak, better suited to calmer rooms. Its wear layer is a thick 4.5mm of real wood, enough to sand and refinish more than once, just like a solid floor. Underneath the wood is a multi-ply core, and that is the whole point: it keeps the floor flat where a solid board would react to the seasons. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. The surface is smooth, a clean and contemporary finish. Micro-bevelled edges give each plank a defined line and absorb the seasonal movement of a wood floor.

Decision line: with a thick wear layer, Revival Walnut behaves like solid hardwood you can refinish, but goes in basements and over radiant heat where solid cannot. It is the choice when you want one floor to do both.

Our installers handle Anderson Tuftex Revival Walnut from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Revival Walnut moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide. Because it is rated for radiant heat, it also pairs with the in-floor heating membranes we stock. You can browse the complete Anderson Tuftex lineup on our Anderson Tuftex page.
