In simple terms: Golden Choice 1080's is an AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, waterproof enough for kitchens, baths, and entries. We carry it and install it in-house.

1080's carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The core is high-density fibreboard, which resists denting and holds the locking profile better than the cheaper particleboard in budget laminate. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty.

Because of that core, 1080's holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries. The range includes tones such as 1080, 1081, 1082, 1084, and 1085.

Decision line: choose 1080's for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.
