Fuzion Flooring Waterfront Water-Resistant Laminate
Spills, wet boots, and pet bowls are where ordinary laminate gives up, right at the seams.
In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Waterfront is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.
Waterfront runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The core is stormcore. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It is rated for 72 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. It is approved for use over in-floor heating, a common request in Toronto condos and Barrie homes. It is also antimicrobial, and pet friendly. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 15-year light commercial warranty.
That construction is what lets Waterfront go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life. The range includes tones such as Clam Shell Oak, Lakeview Oak, Ocean Air Oak, Oyster Oak, and Riverside Oak.
Decision line: choose Waterfront for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.
We install Fuzion Flooring Waterfront with our own crew, never subcontracted, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. Because it works over in-floor heating, it pairs well with the heating membranes we stock. Most laminate problems trace back to the subfloor, so we level it, underlay it correctly, and finish the transitions. More on the laminate installation page.
A photo flattens the texture, so see Waterfront in person before deciding. It is at both showrooms, you can contact us for current stock, and the vinyl vs laminate guide helps if you are still choosing a material.
