Evergreen Building Materials 12mm Water-Resistant Laminate

Near a kitchen sink or a back door in an Ontario home, the first thing a cheap floor does is swell at the seams.

In simple terms: Evergreen Building Materials 12mm is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

Because of that core, Evergreen 12mm holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries. The range includes tones such as 2024, 2052, 2055, 5086, and 6088.

The build behind that: Evergreen 12mm runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. It is backed by a 25-year residential and 10-year commercial warranty.
