Golden Choice 1060's Water-Resistant Laminate

Golden Choice 1060's is a 12.3mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, with a water-resistant core for the spills, pets, and wet boots that come with kitchens, baths, and entries. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Near a kitchen sink or a back door in an Ontario home, the first thing a cheap floor does is swell at the seams.

In simple terms: Golden Choice 1060's is a 12.3mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is meant for the rooms where water is part of daily life, and our own crew installs it.

That construction is what lets 1060's go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life. The range includes tones such as 1060, 1061, 1062, 1063, and 1065.

The build behind that: 1060's runs a 12.3mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints.

Decision line: 1060's is the pick wherever water is a factor, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; keep a standard laminate for the dry rooms to save.

We install Golden Choice 1060's with our own crew, never subcontracted, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. Most laminate problems trace back to the subfloor, so we level it, underlay it correctly, and finish the transitions. More on the laminate installation page.

A photo flattens the texture, so see 1060's in person before deciding. It is at both showrooms, you can contact us for current stock, and the vinyl vs laminate guide helps if you are still choosing a material.
