Golden Choice 1070's Laminate

For the dry rooms of a house, good laminate gives you a convincing wood floor without the price or upkeep of the real thing.

In simple terms: Golden Choice 1070's is a 12.3mm AC3 rated laminate, a hard-wearing wood-look floor for the dry living areas of a home. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

1070's runs a 12.3mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC3 wear rating, suited to normal residential traffic such as bedrooms and quieter living areas. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a glue-free floating click installation that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later.

That suits 1070's to bedrooms, dens, and quieter living areas; for kitchens, baths, and entries, step up to a water-resistant laminate. The range includes tones such as 1070, 1071, 1072, 1073, and 1075.

Decision line: keep 1070's to bedrooms and calmer rooms; busier or wetter spaces want a higher rating or a water-resistant build.
