White Oak sits around 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, right at the oak benchmark for everyday durability. What you are paying for is stability. A cross-layered engineered core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. A low-sheen matte finish keeps dust and footprints from showing.
