Richmond Flooring Connel Birch Engineered Hardwood

Richmond Flooring Connel Birch is birch engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most people choose engineered hardwood for the look and keep it for the stability, the part you only appreciate after a few Ontario winters.

In simple terms: Richmond Flooring Connel Birch is real birch over a multi-ply core. The surface is the same wood you would get in a solid floor; the core is what keeps it flat over a slab, in a basement, or through the seasons. We stock it and our crew installs it.

Here is what matters on this one. It is real birch, a smooth, even grain with gentle colour movement. On the Janka scale Birch runs about 1260, about as hard as oak, fine for daily household use. The real advantage is underneath: a multi-ply core that stays flat through Ontario's dry winters and humid summers, where a solid plank would cup or gap. The surface is wire-brushed, which lifts the grain for texture and quietly hides everyday wear. Colours in the range include Medium.

Decision line: choose Connel Birch when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. Engineered board can be glued over a slab, floated, or nailed down, so we assess the subfloor, test for moisture, and pick the right method. Browse our projects or the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how Connel Birch moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide.
