Why Accord Select Stands Out

Most laminate fails at the joints, not the surface, and it fails first in the rooms that see water.

In simple terms: Richmond Flooring Accord Select is an 8mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is meant for the rooms where water is part of daily life, and our own crew installs it.

Accord Select runs an 8mm board, the standard residential thickness, stable underfoot and compatible with most existing subfloors. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. It is also antimicrobial. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 10-year commercial warranty.

That construction is what lets Accord Select go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life. The range includes tones such as Kazan, Gulf Island, Lodge, Beach House, and Short Hills.

Decision line: choose Accord Select for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

Our own in-house team installs Richmond Flooring Accord Select across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating laminate is only as good as the floor under it, so we level the subfloor, set the right underlayment, and finish the trim. See our laminate installation page.

Laminate looks very different in a full plank under room light than in a small photo, so it is worth seeing Accord Select in person. We keep it at both stores; contact us to confirm stock, or browse the full water-resistant laminate range.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Richmond Flooring Accord Select?
Richmond Flooring Accord Select is an 8mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is built to handle water in kitchens, baths, and entries, where standard laminate tends to fail at the seams. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Accord Select actually waterproof?
Accord Select is a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. Standing water left for long stretches should still be wiped up, but everyday spills, pet bowls, and wet boots will not swell the seams the way they do on ordinary laminate.
Which rooms is Accord Select suitable for?
An ac4 wear rating. In practice that covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces, and its water-resistant core adds kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries.
What warranty does Accord Select carry?
Accord Select is backed by a Lifetime residential and 10-year commercial warranty. Terms vary with the application, and we will confirm the coverage for your specific use before you order.
Where can I see Accord Select near me?
You can see Richmond Flooring Accord Select at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full plank under room light reads very differently from a photo, so we recommend seeing a sample before deciding.
