Naf Flooring Exotic Walnut Engineered Hardwood

Naf Flooring Exotic Walnut is walnut engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

The reason engineered hardwood exists is simple. Concrete slabs, basements, and radiant heat will destroy a solid floor, and engineered was built to handle all three.

In simple terms: Naf Flooring Exotic Walnut is a real-wood floor, a layer of genuine walnut bonded to a stable engineered core. It looks and feels like solid hardwood, but the core lets it handle concrete, basements, and humidity that would move a solid plank. We carry it and our own crew installs it.

It is real walnut, a deep chocolate tone with a soft, formal character. Walnut sits around 1010 on the Janka hardness scale, a little softer than oak, better suited to calmer rooms. It uses a 1.5mm wear layer, built to be lived on rather than resanded, so it is best treated as a durable finished floor. What you are paying for is stability. A cross-layered engineered core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. Planks run 5 inches wide. A handscraped surface gives it a worn, characterful look. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood. It carries a 30-year residential warranty.

Decision line: choose NAF Exotic Walnut for the look and the stability, not for repeated sanding; the wear layer is built to be lived on.

Engineered hardwood gives you options solid wood does not: glue-down over concrete, floating, or nail-down over plywood. Our own crew installs Naf Flooring Exotic Walnut across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted, and we flatten and moisture-test the subfloor first, finish the trim, and handle matching stairs. See our hardwood installation page.

It is worth seeing NAF Exotic Walnut in person before deciding. Visit either showroom, contact us to confirm current stock, and see more in the engineered hardwood range. You can browse the complete Naf Flooring lineup on our Naf Flooring page.
