Tulip Blue, 6" x 36", is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Fired harder and denser than ceramic, porcelain copes with freeze and thaw as well, so a covered porch or a three season room is fair game. PEI 3 covers everything in a normal house, from a bedroom through to a kitchen, though not a commercial floor. Work on 13.08 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 9 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage.
