Tulip Platinum, 6" x 36", covers ground fast and leaves very little grout, which is most of the appeal. Budget for a flat substrate and a second pair of hands. A natural finish holds grip when it is wet and does not show water spotting the way a polished face does. Fired harder and denser than ceramic, porcelain copes with freeze and thaw as well, so a covered porch or a three season room is fair game. PEI 3 covers everything in a normal house, from a bedroom through to a kitchen, though not a commercial floor. Work on 13.08 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 9 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. It is on display in Mississauga and Barrie if you want to see a full sheet rather than a photograph.
