Tulip Tungsten, 6" x 36", covers ground fast and leaves very little grout, which is most of the appeal. Budget for a flat substrate and a second pair of hands. The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Porcelain is the hard wearing one. It is what we put down in a hallway, an entry or anywhere boots and grit arrive. PEI 3 covers everything in a normal house, from a bedroom through to a kitchen, though not a commercial floor. A box holds 13.08 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 9 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece.
