In simple terms: Beaulieu Gallo Xtra is an 8.3mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, waterproof enough for kitchens, baths, and entries. We carry it and install it in-house.

Here is what you are actually buying. Gallo Xtra runs an 8.3mm board, the standard residential thickness, stable underfoot and compatible with most existing subfloors. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints.

That construction is what lets Gallo Xtra go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life. The range includes tones such as Arzon, Castello, Gaelic, Gondola, and Hermine.

Decision line: choose Gallo Xtra for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.
