Beaulieu Atomic Laminate
A laminate floor earns its keep at the wear layer and the locking system, the two things a store photo never shows.
In simple terms: Beaulieu Atomic is an 8mm AC4 rated laminate, a hard-wearing wood-look floor for the dry living areas of a home. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.
Here is what you are actually buying. Atomic runs an 8mm board, the standard residential thickness, stable underfoot and compatible with most existing subfloors. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later.
In practice Atomic covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces comfortably, with a water-resistant line the better pick for wet rooms. The range includes tones such as Chromium, Francium, Iridium, Nitrogen, and Osmium.
Decision line: for a typical main floor, Atomic has the durability you need; save the water-resistant lines for wet rooms.
We install Beaulieu Atomic with our own crew, never subcontracted, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. Most laminate problems trace back to the subfloor, so we level it, underlay it correctly, and finish the transitions. More on the laminate installation page.
Worth seeing in person, since grain and sheen read differently across a floor. Atomic is at our Mississauga and Barrie stores; contact us to check stock, or compare on the vinyl vs laminate guide.
