Beaulieu Gallo Laminate

A laminate floor earns its keep at the wear layer and the locking system, the two things a showroom photo never shows.

In simple terms: Beaulieu Gallo is an 8.3mm AC4 rated laminate, a hard-wearing wood-look floor for the dry living areas of a home. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

In practice Gallo covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces comfortably, with a water-resistant line the better pick for wet rooms. The range includes tones such as Agostino, Alboro, Armoric, Arzon, and Castello.

The build behind that: Gallo runs an 8.3mm board, the standard residential thickness, stable underfoot and compatible with most existing subfloors. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later.

Decision line: Gallo covers the everyday main floor and hallway with room to spare; reserve a water-resistant line for kitchens and baths.
