Fuzion Flooring Summit Ridge Engineered Hardwood
There is a lot of marketing noise around engineered hardwood, but it comes down to two things that matter: how thick the real-wood layer is, and how stable the core is.
In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Summit Ridge is genuine hickory on top of a stable engineered base. That is what lets real wood go into rooms solid flooring cannot, while still sanding and finishing like the real thing. We carry it and install it with our own team.
The wood and the build: It comes in Hickory and Oak. The real advantage is underneath: a cross-layered engineered core that stays flat through Ontario's dry winters and humid summers, where a solid plank would cup or gap. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, places solid hardwood cannot. Planks run 6 1/2 inches wide, a wide-plank look that shows off the grain. A low-sheen finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. Micro-bevelled edges give each plank a defined line and absorb the seasonal movement of a wood floor. It carries a 35-year residential and lifetime structural warranty.
Our installers handle Fuzion Flooring Summit Ridge from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.
Decision line: pick the species for the room, a harder one like oak or hickory for busy main floors, a softer walnut for formal spaces, then let the wear-layer thickness tell you how long it will last.
Wood reads differently across a full floor than in a sample chip, so it is worth seeing Summit Ridge under room light at either showroom. Contact us to check availability, or browse the full hardwood flooring range. See more Fuzion Flooring options on our Fuzion Flooring page.
