Fuzion Flooring Patina Engineered Hardwood
There is a lot of marketing noise around engineered hardwood, but it comes down to two things that matter: how thick the real-wood layer is, and how stable the core is.
In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Patina pairs a real oak top layer with an engineered core built for stability. It gives you a genuine wood floor that can go where solid planks cannot, and we carry and install it ourselves.
The wood and the build: It is real oak, a warm, familiar grain that takes stain well and suits almost any room. It carries a 3mm dry-sawn wear layer, real sawn wood you can refinish like solid hardwood at least once over its life. Stability comes from the build: a 3-layer solid core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. Widths run from 6 to 7 1/2 inches, so you can keep it classic or go wide-plank and modern. A low-sheen finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood. It carries a 35-year residential and lifetime structural warranty.
We install Fuzion Flooring Patina with our own team, not subcontractors, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. The method depends on the subfloor, glued to concrete, floated, or nailed to plywood, and a flat, dry base matters more than anything. Read how we work on the hardwood installation page, or see our projects.
Decision line: with a thick wear layer, Patina behaves like solid hardwood you can refinish, but goes in basements and over radiant heat where solid cannot. It is the choice when you want one floor to do both.
We keep Patina at both showrooms, where the grain, sheen, and colour read properly. It is radiant-rated, so it pairs with the in-floor heating membranes we stock for in-floor heating projects.
