Fuzion Flooring Countryside Engineered Hardwood

Fuzion Flooring Countryside is engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core, rated for below-grade rooms and radiant heat, with a 3mm wear layer you can refinish. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Real wood on top, a stable core underneath: that combination is why engineered hardwood ends up in more Toronto condos and finished basements than solid ever could.

In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Countryside is engineered hardwood, which means a real red oak surface over a cross-layered core. You get the look of solid wood with the stability to put it over concrete or in a basement. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it in-house.

The wood and the build: It comes in Red Oak and Oak. It carries a 3mm dry-sawn wear layer, real sawn wood you can refinish like solid hardwood at least once over its life. What you are paying for is stability. A dimensionally stable engineered core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. Planks run 3 1/2 inches wide. A low-sheen finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood. It carries a 35-year residential and lifetime structural warranty.

Our installers handle Fuzion Flooring Countryside from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.

Decision line: pick the species for the room, a harder one like oak or hickory for busy main floors, a softer walnut for formal spaces, then let the wear-layer thickness tell you how long it will last.

A small sample never shows how Countryside moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide. Since it works over radiant heat, it goes well with the in-floor heating membranes we carry. See more Fuzion Flooring options on our Fuzion Flooring page.
