Fuzion Flooring Coastline European Oak Engineered Hardwood
The reason engineered hardwood exists is simple. Concrete slabs, basements, and radiant heat will destroy a solid floor, and engineered was built to handle all three.
In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Coastline European Oak is genuine oak on top of a stable engineered base. That is what lets real wood go into rooms solid flooring cannot, while still sanding and finishing like the real thing. We carry it and install it with our own team.
The wood and the build: It is real oak, a warm, familiar grain that takes stain well and suits almost any room. The wear layer is 2mm of real wood, enough for one careful refinish down the road. Stability comes from the build: a dimensionally stable engineered core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. That is why it can go on, above, or below grade, including basements and concrete slabs, and over in-floor radiant heat, places solid hardwood cannot. Planks run 7 1/2 inches wide, a wide-plank look that shows off the grain. A low-sheen finish keeps dust and footprints from showing. The planks have micro-bevelled edges, which frame each board and hide the slight height differences that come with real wood. It carries a 35-year residential and lifetime structural warranty.
Our installers handle Fuzion Flooring Coastline European Oak from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.
Decision line: choose Coastline European Oak when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.
It is worth seeing Coastline European Oak in person before deciding. Visit either showroom, contact us to confirm current stock, and see more in the engineered hardwood range. Because it is rated for radiant heat, it also pairs with the in-floor heating membranes we stock. For the full Fuzion Flooring range, see our Fuzion Flooring page.
