Why Fuzguard Stands Out

Most laminate fails at the joints, not the surface, and it fails first in the rooms that see water.

In simple terms: Fuzion Flooring Fuzguard is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

Fuzguard runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The core is fuzion tidalcore. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It is rated for 120 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. It is also antimicrobial, and pet friendly. It is backed by a lifetime residential and 10-year light wear commercial warranty.

Because of that core, Fuzguard holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries. The range includes tones such as Arizona, Fontana, Glendale, Hoover, and Kamloops.

Decision line: choose Fuzguard for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

We install Fuzion Flooring Fuzguard with our own crew, never subcontracted, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. Most laminate problems trace back to the subfloor, so we level it, underlay it correctly, and finish the transitions. More on the laminate installation page.

A photo flattens the texture, so see Fuzguard in person before deciding. It is at both stores, you can contact us for current stock, and the vinyl vs laminate guide helps if you are still choosing a material.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Fuzion Flooring Fuzguard?
Fuzion Flooring Fuzguard is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is built to handle water in kitchens, baths, and entries, where standard laminate tends to fail at the seams. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Fuzguard actually waterproof?
Fuzguard is rated for 120 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. Standing water left for long stretches should still be wiped up, but everyday spills, pet bowls, and wet boots will not swell the seams the way they do on ordinary laminate.
Which rooms is Fuzguard suitable for?
An ac4 wear rating. In practice that covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces, and its water-resistant core adds kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries.
What warranty does Fuzguard carry?
Fuzguard is backed by a lifetime residential and 10-year light wear commercial warranty. Terms vary with the application, and we will confirm the coverage for your specific use before you order.
Where can I see Fuzguard near me?
You can see Fuzion Flooring Fuzguard at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full plank under room light reads very differently from a photo, so we recommend seeing a sample before deciding.
