Biyork Floors Riptide Water-Resistant Laminate

Biyork Floors Riptide is a water-resistant laminate, with a water-resistant core for the spills, pets, and wet boots that come with kitchens, baths, and entries. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Spills, wet boots, and pet bowls are where ordinary laminate gives up, right at the seams.

In simple terms: Biyork Floors Riptide is a water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.

The Riptide range is built around an embossed wood-grain surface. The range includes tones such as Black Pearl, Hurricane, Offshore, Point Break, and Rain Dance.

The construction backs up the look. Riptide has a surface that is an embossed wood grain for a natural look and a little underfoot grip. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 5-year commercial warranty. That construction is what lets Riptide go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life.

Decision line: choose Riptide for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

Our own in-house team installs Biyork Floors Riptide across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating laminate is only as good as the floor under it, so we level the subfloor, set the right underlayment, and finish the trim. See our laminate installation page.

Worth seeing in person, since grain and sheen read differently across a floor. Riptide is at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms; contact us to check stock, or compare on the vinyl vs laminate guide.
