Power Dekor Endura KRS-Series Hickory Engineered Hardwood
The reason engineered hardwood exists is simple. Concrete slabs, basements, and radiant heat will destroy a solid floor, and engineered was built to handle all three.
In simple terms: Power Dekor Endura KRS-Series Hickory is a real-wood floor, a layer of genuine hickory bonded to a stable engineered core. It looks and feels like solid hardwood, but the core lets it handle concrete, basements, and humidity that would move a solid plank. We carry it and our own crew installs it.
The wood and the build: It is real hickory, dramatic grain, natural colour variation, and the hardest common domestic species. Hickory sits around 1820 on the Janka hardness scale, well above the red oak benchmark, so it shrugs off busy traffic. What you are paying for is stability. A cross-layered engineered core holds its shape across the seasonal humidity swing that moves solid wood. The surface is wire-brushed, which lifts the grain for texture and quietly hides everyday wear. It carries a Lifetime warranty. Colours in the range include Beige.
Our installers handle Power Dekor Endura KRS-Series Hickory from subfloor moisture testing to the final trim, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. Over concrete we typically glue down, over plywood we nail or float, and the prep is where the job is won. See the hardwood installation page.
Decision line: choose Endura KRS-Series Hickory when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.
Wood reads differently across a full floor than in a sample chip, so it is worth seeing Endura KRS-Series Hickory under room light at either showroom. Contact us to check availability, or browse the full hardwood flooring range.
