About this product
The Storm Sand in 12" x 48" is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Porcelain absorbs almost no water, which is what lets it go into a shower, a mudroom or a covered porch without any fuss. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 15.5 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 8 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
