Midgley West Storm Mud Tile 48"x48" - Natural

Storm Mud, 48" x 48", is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. A natural finish holds grip when it is wet and does not show water spotting the way a polished face does. The low absorption is the reason porcelain ends up in wet rooms and entries. It takes water, salt and grit without complaint. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 31.01 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 4 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage.
