Midgley West Storm Mud Tile 12"x48" - Natural

Storm Mud at 12" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Because it is porcelain the body is dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Each box covers 15.5 sq ft. For a 100 sq ft room order 8 and you have your ten percent for cuts and a couple spare for repairs later. Come and see it in Mississauga or Barrie. Tile rarely looks the same in a store as it does on a phone screen.
