Midgley West Pietra Lavica Danae Tessere Mosaic Tile 13"x13" - Lappato

Pietra Lavica Danae Tessere at 13" x 13" is where most floors land. It suits a bathroom, a kitchen, an entry or a whole main floor without looking out of scale. The lappato finish is part polished, part matte, which gives you some shine without the full slip of a polish. Porcelain absorbs almost no water, which is what lets it go into a shower, a mudroom or a covered porch without any fuss. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. A box holds 5.71 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 20 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
